I had a chance to watch most of the game, and had a good view of Yao Ming.

    Removing the lies

Yao Ming is a shot blocker. He blocked Lafrentz, Wallace (yes the shot block leader of last year), and many others. He doesn't throw the ball out of the arena either. He has very good control of the ball.

He is not just a outside player. He played almost all inside. He was able to bump smaller players all the way to the basket, where he would just turn around and shoot. When he did go outside, he seemed to have a smooth shot.

    The Goods

He can pass, rebound, shoot, block shots, and he can even be very intiminating. Every time a player would go up to shoot over him, they would either get their shot blocked or altered ( except for Jay Williams...)

    USA Team

For one, Ben Wallace is OVERATED. If he was in the west with players like Shaq and Ming guarding him, he would not be the defensive player of the year.

Jay Williams reminds me a lot of Baron Davis, likes to dunk on everybody.

    Final Word

He will be an All Star, and he will be the best center in the leauge in the next 3-4 years.
    Period.

At this time it is 11 China 10 USA

Back on 9:16 ( based on my computer time)

nothing much at first, Ming did make O'neal lose the ball in traffic ( he ran into him)
OUCH, Yao Ming blocks the ball as a player runs in for a dunk. Called for goaltending though.
Yao Ming steals the ball, but called for double dribbling. Time out.

    Back on 9:20

So far nothing, mostly USA stealing the ball and running it down for layups. Yao on the bench with 6 points and 4 rbs.

    Back on 9:30

Back, Finley is at the FT line.
Marion for a monster jam, off a fast break.
Time out. Ming will be back after Time out. ESPN only showing MING, hence why 10 min break.

    Back on 9:34

Ming loses the ball ( 2 players went for the steal when he had it over his head)
Ouch, La Frentz blocks his shot, but he was fouled Luckly... Makes 1 FT.
    score 39-17.
Ming posts up, Wallace knocks it away.
Ming Offensive Reb, ball out of bounce.
NICE JUMPER, Ming over everyone from 17ft (like 4-5 people around him)
    Marion another Jam.
Ming Steals the ball for a fast break ending with a 3 by one of his teamates. This kinda stuff just shows why he will give other players FITS.
Wallace can't score on MING! He keeps losing it or passing off.
Ming tips Reb. This results in a fastbreak by USA, but it comes back to China from a steal. Ming trys to get a layup, but gets fouled. Makes both FT
11pt/5reb for 4 of 7 from the field.
Ming tries to post up Davis, but misses.
    Ming blocks another shot.
ESPN fades out. MING looks great! I didn't expect this at all.

    Back on 10:14

Missed a bunch of updates becasue Clutch closed BBS for a sec.
Ming gets rebound and passes it up for a missed layup.
    Ming turnaround Jumper good.
Ming BLOCKS DAVIS from a sure dunk.
Ming throws outlet pass that turns to a turnover. Hakeem anyone?
    Time out

    Back on 10:23

    Time out?

    Back on 10:32(3Q)

    40-71 USA
Ming in the post, bump, bump, bump, shoots. Off the back of the rim. He backed the guy under the basket. He looks tired now though. (holding his knee's, walking up slowly)
Ming passes it to teamate for a long 2.
HELL YEAH, Ben Wallace tries to shoot over Ming, rolls off the rim and into Ming's hands.
Ming gets a nice pass in the post and gets fouled, no FT though.
    Ming striped, Marion with dunk.
    Davis with Dunk.
Time out 6:03 left in the game.

    Back on 10:40

    Ming loses rebound.
Marion dunks over a China player, not Ming thank God...
    Ming turnaround, miss.
    foul.
Ming seems to stay around the basket, especialy on the defensive end. And they say he is an outside player and he can't block shots???
YAO MING BLOCK. Do I sound like a repeating record?
MING BLOCK, ON LAFRENTZ I THINK! He tried to shoot over Ming, and ming just reached up and tossed it back.
    Ming Reb.
    END OF GAME
    13pt/10reb/4blk/3stl
Jay Williams ended up dunking on Ming, sorta...
