Anybody see that video of that lil girl throwing a bucket of puppies one by one into the river. saw it today on TV 45 Univision. that was sick.
Willie's Scottish, yo. edit: for some reason when i posted i thought this thread was still on the first page.
And they call conservatives "wingnuts." There are plenty of "wingnuts" on both ends of the political spectrum.
Why does it have to be one or the other?? Why can't all living things on this planet be equal? Look, I'm not some tree-hugging nutjob who thinks that people should stop bettering our lives on this Earth, but I'm also someone who thinks that the meaningless selfishness that we as humans display can be downright sickening sometimes. There are plenty of things that we can do to preserve the world so that we won't have issues in the future, and there's absolutely no reason not to. We are fully aware of the repercussions our actions cause.....we're just too damned lazy (or even worse, arrogant) to do anything about it.
Given the nature of his demands, I think it is relevant. And, given that the first question that pops into many people's heads when they hear news of a hostage situation is, "is he a Muslim extremist?" it's relevant for that reason too.
Sure. Saving the planet and all that are necessary steps that we might have to take, but I just don't like the nutjobs that take it to the extremes and complain about every little thing that does even a small fraction of any sort of damage to the environment. I mean... it's gonna happen. Humans have been living on this Earth for a while and the last time I checked, the grass is still green and the sky is still blue. Would it kill us to take steps to preserve the world we live in? No. It wouldn't but it shouldn't come at the sacrifice of our lifestyle and culture.
