Wasn't even remotely scary, so I'm not sure why it was classified as a horror movie, but good movie nonetheless. Good twist and all the characters were real fun.
Very tense, surreal movie. Still digesting all of the social commentary but great flick. I'm wondering if.... Spoiler The idea of white people essentially living through black people after death is an analogy or allusion to gentrification (Third Ward nowadays)
I felt the same. I think it is horror like Twilight Zone type horror. It is not alot of Jump Outs. .. . .and gore. . . .. Psychological Horror Rocket River
It had 2-3 genuinely creepy moments, but that's about it. Which is fine. I was just hoping for an actual horror movie, personally. My expectations were off.
Wouldn't call it a horror movie. It was a mix of astute social commentary, a compelling plot line and well timed comedic relief (intentional or unintentional). Definitely one of the better movies to come out in the past 10 years IMHO
Definitely worth a watch. Thought this was interesting. 22 hidden secrets you may have missed https://www.buzzfeed.com/erinchack/...sed-in-get-out?utm_term=.bnab8aaJL#.aqgoQKKRq
Pretty good movie but maybe too much comedy for it to be a horror, and it didn't help that 3 teenagers came in who wouldn't stfu
Pepperdine Farms remembers.... As for the movie, watched it over the weekend on Showbox. It was decent.
I saw that the reviews were overwhelmingly positive, but I still went into this thinking it couldn't be that good. I was wrong, this was great movie. I'm not a horror fan so I'm glad this wasn't torture p*rn, gory or even "jump scare" scary.. Wasn't a big fan of Key and Peele; they have their moments, but I always felt their brand of comedy was a little off. I'm surprised I enjoyed something Peele directed. I look forward to seeing more of his stuff. I'm all in for him doing Akira.
