So is he saying of they payed 19 million over 2 years to Kaman then he would be happy with the makeup of this roster?

    Horford needs to just play

Horford would be an interesting player to consider if the Two Towers doesn't work. He has an excellent mid range game that may be able to be stretched to the corner three. He would be able to play the 5 when Howard sits.

Horford rather than Millsap, but I don't see it happening.

Asik for Milsap would be excellent trade to both. And Milsap helps us keep our cap flexibility.

we have an undersize center, and we're getting another undersize PF.

I am not dealing Asik for Milsap. I like the idea of 48 minutes at the 5 spot covered by Howard/Asik. Further, I believe getting a suitable PF is easier to get than an elite back up 5. Further, having Asik and Howard makes playing SA, MEM and MIA easier.

If the Rockets can get a player like Horford (who can play the 4 and 5) or an elite 4, then I do not have an issue with it.

I think you are going to see set line ups continue to errode in the NBA. Parsons will get minutes at the 4, I can see Garcia getting a few, Howard, etc.

Now people are complaining about Howard being too small???.... geez people. Was he so small to where he couldn't lead the league in rebounds the past who knows how many years and win 3 consecutive defensive player of the year awards???

Howard might be 6'10" but he plays 7'4".... get over the inches people.

Check out specifically who Horford would choose out of any center to play alongside him:

Love the idea of a Horford/Asik pairing. They would be so good for that Atlanta team.

He isn't.... he is about the perfect size, length for the modern NBA. He can cover the larger centers or the faster misplaced PF playing center.

He is shorter than other centers, but you don't rebound and block shots with your head. His wingspan more than makes up for his "lack" of height.

    Lin/Beverley/Brooks
    Harden/Garcia
    Parsons/Casspi
    Milsap/Jones/Motiejunas
    Howard/Smith

    Canaan/Brewer/Covington or Camby in reserves.

Thats a hell of a team, bench is sort of weak though. Plus i dont think Smith isnt going to do it for us as a permenent back up C

Wow I am surprised,I doubt Atlanta will trade Horford to Chicago since they are rivals,so an Asik for Millsap trade makes sense since they are building around Al.
that would really be a Nice combo, they could make it to the Second round of the playoffs

Milsap is not worth Asik straight up.
