Hope YOu Rafer Haters Are Happy I'd be satisfied if the team can just go .500 the rest of the way without him. Aaron Brooks is not ready, kyle lowry is sg who has to play point cause of size
WE ARE HAPPY. DONT GET IT TWISTED! that was a haarrrrd $5M contract to get rid of. even then it took a team that was desperate with an injured all star at that position....
the money aint coming out of your pocket, and that 5 mill isnt making a difference, put it in the bank, yao ming's PPG will be lower the rest of the way than it is now.
Ohh, Brooks is more than ready... Welcome to fantasy team relevance Brooks
EXSTATIC!!! Woooo hoooooo!!!! I hope eveyone here has a good excu.. I mean exlanation for saying that this team is done without......... RAFER????
I'm not happy, but I am not a Rafer Hater, in my opinion he is the 2nd most valuable player on this team. If Yao or Rafer show up in a game offensively, then the Rockets have a great chance of winning now that he's gone, who do we have that's valuable outside of Yao on offense? I can't think of any, maybe Artest. But Even when Artest is shooting like garbage the Rockets are still as capable as any other team at winning. This is not a good trade, We can only hope his physical fails like Chandler.
I'm extremely happy about the trade. This team is in no position to win it all with or without Rafer. His departure allows the team to continue on their stealthy rebuilding process. They will still have a ton of money come off the books in the next two years, and they now have a very YOUNG group of players around Yao. Lowry, Brooks, Landry, Wafer... all under 25 or under. Cook and Scola are both 28. This team is ONE star away from being an elite contender again. They have quality role players surrounding Yao; they just need one more player to step it up. Great move. It makes sense from a basketball perspective once you realize that, without McGrady, this team can't compete with LA in a 7 game series . And I like Rafer Alston.
you really think rafer is the reason whether or not we will have a winning record? Without Yao last year we had a winning record, without tmac this year we have a winning record, but without Alston, we will all of a sudden suck? I doubt it
or drives to the basket...and gets to the freethrow line. call me when rafer gets to the line more than 4 times in a game. Lowry doesnt even shoot threes as regularly as alston does
