    How could you tank and then get a superstar? You're not going to get one from the draft and if you tank, then NO SUPERSTAR'S WANT TO COME TO A TANKING TEAM!!!!

    At this point, I'd rather see DM jump into the trade talks as a facilitator between Denver and the Knicks -- where Melo would really prefer to go. Use that brain to come up with a scenario that makes Denver change their mind about the Nets at the last minute.

    Rockets are expected to get YAO's injury-level exception this week so this could be the reason for the NETS delay... Rockets might have more to offer by the end of the week... :)

    Any team that trades for Carmelo without a guarantee that he signs an extension immediately is flat-out irresponsible. Why kill your assets on a guy you're going to have for 3 months?

    I don't think Morey does this without Melo's commitment, despite what I've read about how they think they can convince him.

    with as many assets as we have and the cap relief we can give... trade deadline coming up id rather see what else we can make happen... unless hes with signing an extension

    Worse case scenario, the Rockets could do a Sn'T and get several picks and a massive TE if he decides to leave since they will own his bird rights.

    I'd do this deal in a heartbeat. can any of you bear watching this **** that is the houston rockets right now? I can't stop myself from watching the rockets day in and day out but my heart burns every second I do it.
