I am getting married in mid January and we still haven't booked our honeymoon.

We can only afford to spend between 2-2.5k.

Anyone have suggestions for this time of year?

For that Much you can got to a decent all-inclusive resort in Mexico. I'd look into Xhu Ha Palace in the Mayan Riveria. Probably go for 4-5 nights at that price. The alcohol is free and if you gonthrough funjet, airfare and transportation is provided. Sometimes you can even get free excursions. We went go Tulum and Xel Ha for free during our stay.

In the winter? Only if you enjoy skiing.

I say this as a native Montanan who knows a bit about Montana winters.

Hotel ZaZa. You'll be like right by the Zoo!

Parking is around $24 a night though. The plus it has UniSex bathrooms. I don't know why that's cool, I guess the words just sound better or something.

We stayed at the Gran Bahia Principe Esmeralda in Punta Cana for a week. It fit that budget.

You should check into it. It's quiet, and may not be the most happening place, but very enjoyable. Highly rated on tripadvisor, too.

Go on a cruise... although I haven't been on one since the last decade or so, so don't know about the prices.

Cruises are the worst suck on Earth, especially if you want intimacy (enjoying sex).

Mayan Riveria or Cayman if you can afford it ... Mexico should be pretty cheap.

I've done a one-week August trip to San Francisco at that budget (from Houston). We were able to make it to Napa Valley + a cruise back, an excellent personal tour of the city, a walking chocolate tour and the usual sights (Fisherman's wharf, Alcatraz, Chinatown, etc.)

The most expensive components of your trip would be the Hotel and flights. If you book early and are willing to stay at a cheaper place (we stayed at a moderately priced place in Japantown), you can get the most out of your trip.

    Good luck, and congratulations!
