it's like his mouth never grew from when he was a child. And is it just me or does it sound like he had a speech impediment that he works to cover up? Occasionally it seems to slip out
From what I remember, he has a pretty thick English accent in real life, so it may just be the way his American accent sounds.
maybe. I thought it was more of a lisp type thing on his S's but i didn't know he was British until about 15 minutes ago

Good episode. My only problem with Homeland is that every time I watch it, I feel really uncomfortable throughout the entire episode...which is probably the writers' intent.
Good episode. Feels like the beginning of last season in that you can see how much it's going to build. can't wait.
The massive flaw with this show is Brody's motivation is not believable. Civilians have died in all wars since the beginning of time. That one particular death would cause him to take the other side (as if that side isn't perfectly willing to intentionally kill civilians), is nonsensical. And the kid glove treatment the show gives Islam is insulting to our intelligence. Sure, even though they're always screaming "death to the infidels", terrorism is really all because of Israel and drone strikes.
I can't believe we got no Ugly Carrie Crying in this episode. we got some sniveling, and a creepy grin, but no ugly crying.
I think you don't give the plot enough thought. It isn't like Brody was just hired to be the teacher for a Muslim man's son and then saw the son die. Brody was tortured and had his psyche completely broken apart and then converted to Islam as a broken, fragile being. He then fell in love with the boy as his own son. Brody was already turned before the death of the child.
great episode last night. Interesting to see how Estes handles Carrie actually being credible about the whole brody is a terrorist thing
