[home help] - AC unit condenser fan....

    considering our boards vast knowledge base, I will give this a shot...

    I have 3 AC units for my house and I had some repairman over to fix one of them (wiring went bad) Anyways, he noticed that the fan on the condenser of another unit was turning slower than it should. in comparison to the other two, yes it was a little slower (but still fast enough to where I wouldn't have noticed a big deal if it was by itself).

    He is telling me that the fan motor should be replaced, or else it will eventually cause the condenser itself to go bad which will cost a lot more...


    Any thoughts by anyone... i mean the unit is still cooling and I hate to spend $300-500 to replace a fan that seems to be doing its job for now..
