What is "tuff" about showboating? What is tough about yapping like a poodle? What is tough about bending over and begging Chris Paul to kick you in the behind, especially when he can oblige so easily?

Talk very is cheap when you are a soft, mediocre player like Rafer. On the basketball court, the only thing tough about Rafer is that someone else on the Rockets will back him up.

On the court Rafer couldn't hold CP3's jock in most areas of basketball skills and talents. Rafer hasn't been to an All-Star game. Rafer has never been even remotely in MVP talks. So on the court, I wouldn't call out CP3 unless it's something serious. Don't let some punk upstart who thinks he's the best talk smack. But at the same time, don't diss when you can't back it up.

If Rafer started it, it's his fault. If CP3 started it, Rafer is justified in taking shots back. Sometimes it goes deeper than just NBA basketball. There is pride. Rafer is a streetball legend and has the best handles in the world, CP3 couldn't touch him on the streets.

That's why I think if Rafer started it, he's at fault because you don't go hating on someone better than you unless they have done something wrong, in which case CP3 started it and Rafer is justified. CP3 and the Hornets aren't going to amount to **** so CP3 can bail on that team and take his tiny ass and shove it. Maybe he'll get lucky somewhere else, because when the Spurs, Suns, and Mavs are done he'll have to contend with the Rockets, Lakers, and Jazz, and when THEY'RE done, he'll have to contend with the dynasties of the Trailblazers and Sonics.

He's going to have a hard time in this league.

Rafer didn't say West wasn't a "star" he said he wasn't a "superstar". Yao Ming when playing is the best center in the NBA. He's a superstar. David West is a star. There is a difference.

I think you would make a perfect rookie on the NO board.

Chris Paul really likes Yao. I guess he is a litte bit jealous of Rafer. :D

Wow, first post...it only took you 5+ years...

It was a good one though. I agree whole heartedly. Rafer is a good guy. So is Chris Paul. They should just call one another and straighten all this crap out. Or keep jawing back and forth. I like that too.

I havent read this whole thread so I dont know if someone has mentioned this. If Rafer started anything, it was done with Chandler, but I really think Chandler was the one who started. It was Chandler who was celebrating after multiple alley-oops in the previous game with us as if he was really doing something. Chandler was acting like, as Chris Paul would say, "He thinks he's so great".

Then CP3 just jumped in the mix when he had nothing to do with it. That could either be looked at as admirable (taking up for his teamate) or Cp3 just being a sore loser. I find it funny how CP3 talks about Rafer riding Mac's coat tails, when the one person who's riding his, started this. With all that said, I still like CP3 alot, he is an amazing player. If anyone was out of line, its definetly not Rafer.

I would've liked to see one of the Rockets, preferably Tmac, respond and take up for Rafer since CP3 feels Chandler cant fight his own battles. Well, at least Chandler did help Rafer up after fouling him hard, which tells me CP3 is the only one taking this thing too seriously.

Maybe it's profound that no other Rocket backed up Rafer. Sometimes silence speaks for itself.

Maybe Rafer can take care of himself.
