History shows that teams with a top 4 offense are good teams regardless of defense.

Rockets gave up so many offensive rebounds last season and the teams best rebounder is gone. There will be many tears shed

 

Has there ever been a team with a top 5 offense and a bottom 25+ defense? How did those teams do in the standings ? I think in general teams with offenses that good have enough talent on their team that they can win a lot of games . If your team has a top 4-5 offense then it is going to be better than bottom shelf defensively .

This is why a lot of the teams posted had at least middle of the pack to top 10 defenses . If you think about how good your team has to be to be a top 5 offense then it's unlikely they are not gonna win a lot of games .

 

Dwight was indeed our leading rebounder but in his three years here we had a better winning percentage in the games that he missed than in the games that he played.

 

One of the reasons our defense was so bad last season was transition, and that directly stems from us bricking a billion threes igniting fast breaks for the other team.

These are the teams with defense ranking lower than 15. Notice anything? Yeah, none of them were a top 4 team in the West. If you are in the West and not a top 4 team, you aren't going to win anything.
