Now we are talking about consistency in a 5 game streak when people ranted about the 25 great games Lin played as a small sample. LMAO.....

Seeing as he had a so-so rookie season, they are probably hoping that he heats up.

This should give you some idea what summer league stats mean, which is almost nothing.

Take note of July Rookie of the Month Johnny Flynn. Wish we could get that guy. He sounds like a future star.

You mean the same Johnny Flynn who had a serious hip injury his rookie season that took him most of the past two seasons to really come back from?

I would just like to chime in and say the hype around our team was due to the fact that the entire unit played together very cohesively. They shared the ball so well and spaced so well that they didn't seem like a first-time summer league team. There was an unspoken sense of unity with the team, and guys were looking for each other on the court rather then for their own points. Those are all very good signs if taken the right way.

This is much better news than Donte Greene scoring 40, which truly is meaningless.

ok, ok, ok I get it, you like the rookies, you didn't want Howard because of T.Jones, and R.White, but c'mon man Johnny Flynn???

Well, once Portland threw in the towel last season, the last six games or so, he was starting to show the form he had in his rookie season.

Are these the only players you know of in the league? Stars make up a small percentage of the league. They all need teams to win, don't they? How many of those "stars" you pulled out of your rear have a ring?

    Coach,
I have some homework for you.

    go to nba.com

look up these people called "STARTERS" for every team. these are the guys who actually get playing time and are significantly better than the players you tend to admire.

go to the history section and look up NBA CHAMPIONSHIPS. You will see what players you need to win a championship.

    words like "leBron" "kobe" "Duncan"
or words like "Olajuwon" "Jordan" "Magic" "Bird" "Shaq" "Isiah"

there will be lots of new vocabulary you will learn and you can bring them to show and tell next time during Clutchfans NBA basketball 101.

    ^^^Classic

coach with you being on this site I'm going to assume you are a Rockets fan, and by being a Rockets fan you have seen for the last few years what a true role player is as we've had more than I would like to count. And by us having those role players we have gotten the 14th pick it seems like for the last 3 years in a row.

We need a player of the type that Tinman is referring to, not players who can one day become the 4th best on a contender!
