Hillary has not had her own thread. The status quo does not tend to generate one, but nevertheless she merits her own thread.

According to this story Hillary will be cut out of a lot of Wall Street cash if she chooses Warren who has hurt Wall Street's feelings. Well I guess that is probably it for Warren.

    http://www.vanityfair.com/news/2016/06/wall-street-clinton-warren-vice-president

But several major Democrat donors, who declined to be named for obvious reasons, told Politico that they were prepared to bail on Clinton if she chooses Warren, the architect of the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau who has regularly called to break up big banks, re-implement Glass-Steagall, and get money out of politics—their money, in particular.

“ ... If you are going there with Warren, we just can’t trust you, you’ve killed it.”

One major bundler who raised millions for Clinton stressed that it wasn’t Warren’s ideas that scared Wall Street, but Warren herself: she’s a firebrand

Well, what a surprise that Wall Street folks don't like Warren!

There may be other voters outside of "Wall Street" who are disinterested in Warren as a VP candidate, there may be other regional, ideological or demographic strategies campaign staff want to implement without her or other prospects.

This is how bland a candidate she is -- non one can even remember the very long threads about her.

As for Warren, I think her gender is a bigger problem than her reputation with Wall St. Running a 2-female ticket sounds risky, and she shouldn't do risky things while her opponent keeps shooting himself in the foot. The logical thing would be to make the safe, conventional play that appeals to the undecided and swing voter. I think that will be Kaine -- middle-aged centrist white male with a name that is bland yet popular for video game protagonists. Trump is already doing everything he can to serve up the woman and minority votes to Clinton, so all she needs to do is assure the moderate white male that he still has a voice and she's in like Flynn.

Flynn or Flint? My only two references are James Coburn trailers and the Urban Dance Squad.

I think it was some politico article on Warren's personality, and how she was demanding to an almost diva-like level.

Maybe it was implicit sexism, but she's definitely a strong character...

Hillary Clinton is probably the most qualified person to run for President in the last several elections, even more than Obama. I'm sure she still has numerous contacts within foreign governments worldwide, and I'm guessing she has positive relationships with most of them.

If you ask the Republicans who worked with her in the Senate, most of them have said that they enjoyed working with her- as much as some liberals on here would want a Sanders who will overhaul everything, you need someone who can work with both parties, which Hillary has proven she can do.

I certainly think she made a mistake with the email server, and she's got other issues as well- which no doubt some are going to point out here.

But the level of hatred and vitriol she gets from some is really much out of proportion to how bad she actually is. Based on her experience and her prior record, she'd most likely do a good job. Anyone who says she'd be a terrible President or the worst President is most likely suffering from misplaced anger or the disease of hyperbole. People have to stop being so over-the-top when it comes to the President.

Obama wasn't evil, and neither was GW Bush, nor Bill Clinton, nor George HW Bush. Could they have been better? Sure. Did they make major mistakes? In some cases, yes. But let's face it - no matter who becomes President, some will worship them, some will loathe them, and a whole bunch will be somewhere in the middle. That goes for any possible person on the face of the planet who could possibly become our President. They immediately become targets for the silliest type of hyperbole from some.

    Somehow, it went from this:

    http://www.cnsnews.com/blog/cnsnews...-americas-most-admired-women-record-20th-time

Former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was the woman whom the largest percentage of Americans admired most in 2015, according to a Gallup poll. That marks a record 20 years that she has garnered that honor, including the last 14 years in a row.

Americans named President Barack Obama their most admired man. This is the eighth time that Obama has taken that honor.

In the history of Gallup’s most-admired surveys, no one has appeared in the Top Ten more often than the Rev. Billy Graham, who has enjoyed that distinction 59 times.

Queen Elizabeth II has been in the Top Ten more than any woman and more than any person than Graham, having appeared 47 times. Margaret Thatcher ranks third for appearances in the Top Ten with 34 and Ronald Reagan ranks fourth with 31.

    To this:

    http://fivethirtyeight.com/features...or-both-trump-and-clinton-is-record-breaking/

The Democratic primary will technically march on, but Hillary Clinton is almost certainly going to be her party’s nominee. Same with Donald Trump. And voters don’t appear thrilled at the prospect: Clinton and Trump are both more strongly disliked than any nominee at this point in the past 10 presidential cycles.

Extremes. Does it surprise any of us? The internet is a wonderful tool - for both knowledge gathering and the promotion of narcissism.

Here's some mental floss for the globe: Trump is No Kid living in the Fast Lane but Clinton is also from the Big Apple and has A Deeper Shade of Soul.

Electorally, her biggest plus is not being Donald Trump.

she's much more qualified than the donald to become president. she understands both domestic and foreign issues very well, she's sharp with words, and she has the experience in the politcal arena inside and outside the US. problem with hillary is, everyone knows she's bought out and is your typical prototype establishment-democrat who doesnt care too much for the average american, maybe just a bit more than the republicans.

donald trump has no politcal foreign policy experience or has never been a public servant. he's a rich celebrity-businessman who say's racist crap and appeals to a large enough segment of the republican party that is racist, to win the GOP nomination. aside from that, he cant win on the big stage as he's made too many enemies. he cant capture the minority vote in the general election, and probably wont capture enough of the independent vote to beat hillary. the fireworks and propaganda campaign against trump has not even started yet. in a few months whenever the commercials start firing off, trump will be in trouble.

you know the people who support donald are for the most part either ignorant of the issues, or are racists. these people are the shame of our country and donald appeals to them. with his rhetoric though, he is enflaming racial tensions and making for a toxic political atmosphere that reverberates through america at large.

the people who support donald are afraid they're losing control of the country to minorities. that's why donald's message of 'im not going to give in and be PC' has been so successful, he empowers the people who feel they're losing the america they once knew to black and women presidents.
