My friend Eddie since the 6th grade has been charged with murder. http://www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/6091520.html I can't believe it.
I'm sorry, but that's a really stupid reason to kill someone. Were you friends with the victim as well?
Wow, you are lucky. That could have been you if you were close to him. Good thing you didn't fall for his sister. They apparently had all been friends.
Why am I not surprised that this is in Spring ISD? This whole area's been going down the *****ter since my junior year at Westfield.
Agreed. It's sad to continually read negative stories about Westfield. It was a nice school back when I went there in the early 90s. Today, it's worthless as is most of SISD. It will only get worse as that area of 1960 declines.
Do you blame the parents? some of this has to be their fault for not instilling values and morals to their kids.
I just got off the phone with someone who knows alot about the situation, I just barely found out on the news since I wasn't at school today. My friend is saying that the other dude did the killing.
I love Westfield. I'm always gonna be a Mustang, but alot of bad **** has been happening there, so I can agree.
Of course that is a large part of the problem. I am no longer surprised to read things like this about WHS. This was unheard of when I was a student. The whole area rapidly declining and thankfully my parents got out.
i graduated in 2000 and it seems like i basically got out in the last year or two it was respectable. down went the math team and quiz team, up went the bball and football teams. lots of low income people and families moved into the area. this is what happens when that happens. i don't want my parents to move b/c i love our house in ponderosa that i grew up in, but i kinda hope they move to get out of that area.
I live in Willow West which is like 5 minutes away from Ponderosa. Ponderosa, Westador, and Willow West are probably the only decent neighborhoods in the area now.
I grew up in Ponderosa as well back in the late 70s and 80s. I didn't want mine to leave either but it was the best thing they ever did. You can thank the numerous apartment complexes and the section 8 housing near 45 and Airtex for the decline.
Oh and when I say my friend "Eddie" I'm talking about Edson, just to clear confusion since the other dudes name is Edgar. I did not know the other dude.
