The Middle East is on nobody's watch, and you qualify as delusional in my books if you think American military power will make a (positive) difference. Tons more Middle Easterners died under Dirty Ronny's watch--millions of Iraqis, and Iranians, and Lebanese. Ronny armed Iran, and guided WMD for Saddam. That only got him known and loved as the Republican foreign policy god. The buck doesn't stop very far apparently--though I have a sneaking suspicion that's because many Americans regard the Middle East as a "place to be won" and less as a place where actual people live.
I don't think that at all and I don't think most Americans do either. Most Americans don't understand why that region has been at war for their entire lifetimes, maybe centuries and can't seem to stop. There is nothing to "win" IMO except for the freedom for the people there to wake up each day without death and war and hope for a better tomorrow without some evil regime oppressing them. You know, nothing major... just bill of rights kind of things.
How exactly is everything you just mentioned (especially the bolded) correlated with American military power in the region?
And we continue to argue about God. <iframe width="420" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/hk41Gbjljfo" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> DD
