After living 24 hours a day at the refinery for 4 straight days, followed by two more days of 16 hours of work (with 2 more to go), the gas will soon be flowing. I'm proud to say that Shell Deer Park will be the first refinery on the coast to be back online and producing gasoline and diesel. By Saturday, we should be close to full rates again.

Just doing our part to help our region recover.

(Oh, geez, I'm tired. I need a three day nap. And I still don't have power at the house. I need some clean clothes, too.)

Thanks for all your work Behad. That really sucks that you have had to work so much, reminds me of my days at Frito-Lay when I worked 21 straight days of 12 hours or more but my work there is pretty insignificant to what you have been doing. I hope power gets restored soon to your area and I hope you get that three day hibernation plan going too. :)

BTW, I know this may seem insignificant but you were given a BYE week in the NFL Survivor game so if you want to pick this week you can.

Wow, thanks. I figured I was just out. To be honest, I haven't thought about football, or anything else, for almost a week.

That's awesome, but does that mean crude prices go up now that refineries need it?

I was betting on this being a Lou Dobbs thread...

We have gas on this end, problem is... no power for the freaking pumps, FEMA should be producing all these big stores with commercial generators so we can get our gas, instead they want to sit on their ass and not do it.

the Texas government is really starting to piss me off, I don't think we had this problem in Louisiana at all when it came to gas after Rita. It's a huge blow to the nutts, and I don't appreciate how the state and local governments are handling this situation when gas is the most needed thing to run our nation. Seems like these jerks would have enough sense to deploy generators to stores so people can stock up on gas, especially to us that won't have power until Oct. 5th... Way to go Government, you really are a great group of guys/ gals

Completely understandable. I figured a lot of people playing had a lot more important issues or their mind so I gave those that did not pick a BYE instead of just eliminating them. Keep up the good work. :)
