Hey guys, I have quite a few images, similar to below, I need to print out, but be able to read the digits on the scale reader. As you can see from the image it reads "62020", but when I print out out the image using a color printer on plain paper you can't see anything in the reader. Is there a way to Photoshop this image without writing the digit over to make it seems like it was alter. Like prefer brightness/ contrast adjustment? I had tried some adjustment it enhance the digits a little but see unreadable. Should I always use glossy photo paper instead would that help?
i don't think any type of paper can fix the printout. it's a poor resolution photo. just good enough for web pages.
You could try to go "up" on your contrast and slightly higher on your brightness. That could help out a bit. This is what I came up with, in just a few minutes: Spoiler And this is messing around a little bit with the filters and different lighting: Spoiler Also if possible, you should look into Mettler Toledo's IND 560. It has a better contrast so it's easier to see...lol: Spoiler And yes, considering what that display looks like, you almost are forced to try to print that off on photo paper. Otherwise, you're clarity is going to totally plummet on regular paper.
Thanks PrimTim! You think if I could alter all the images similar to your second image ... that photo paper would work print the digit more readable? Currently, on a laser color printer you cant read anything in the reader with plain paper. Would it make a different if is a Laser color printer and not a ink jet?
I'm not a photo expert, but in my experience, photo paper would make it much more readable than regular paper. And yes, an inkjet would work much better for photos than a laser printer would.
