Most Italians don't speak English. But, since you'll be sending this to an institution I'm pretty sure they'll have some English speaker. I do agree that it will be better to send an Italian letter to be on the safe side. For those posters who wants to use google translate to send a formal letter --- Paul wtfk?!? Srs?
