He seems like a perfect Dantoni PF. Even if he signs for the minimum it would make the most sense for him to go there as the media attention and style of play will likely boost is contract prospects for next year.
What I don't get is why the Lakers would be spending time and money on an older player signed to a 1 year contract? And why would Hedo spend what may be the last year of his career on a non-contending team?
Also wonder if Hedo is someone Asik knows and looks up to with his years of playing with him in national play. Could be a positive for his morale to play with him coming off the bench like the good -ole-days. I would expect that since Hedo hasn't played in quite some time, and he's off the roids (supposively) that he could be a bit rusty and could flame out quick, but I think he's definitely worth the gamble especially if he only costs Morey waiving Covington or Brewer who are doing nothing to help the Rocket win games probably ever.
