All players, including Hedo, pass by their prime years and fade ... or should fade ... into the woodwork. If you disagree, could we please have the Dream back?
If you're going to SCREAM and act like a jerk learn how to use YOUR. It's you're not YOUR but YOU'RE.
we just need Turk to put on 20 pounds and he can be our stretch 4 bomb some 3s like Ryan Anderson for the league vet minimum!!!
What team would find him most useful? Memphis, perhaps? Provides some long-range shooting as well as a capable ball-handler and playmaker. Can work well with Gasol due to his past experiences with Howard.
6 months later, we may have resolution! http://www.orlandosentinel.com/spor...-news-1225-20131224,0,7434134.story?track=rss After spending training camp, the preseason and the regular season in a purgatory of sorts, Hedo Turkoglu's period of limbo with the Orlando Magic is nearing a resolution. The veteran small forward can expect to have his situation resolved no later than the close of business on Jan. 7. Turkoglu, 34, no longer fits into the team's plans. ... Rather than have Turkoglu around the team, Magic executives and Turkoglu agreed to have Turkoglu sit out training camp, the preseason and the regular season. Rather than cut Turkoglu, who is in the final year of his contract, team officials have kept him on the roster because his contract is an asset that potentially could be used in a trade and net the Magic an asset in return. Still, the Magic won't keep Turkoglu beyond Jan. 7. For now, only $6 million of his $12 million salary for this season is guaranteed. But, in order to owe him just $6 million, the Magic must waive him or trade him no later than 5 p.m. on Jan. 7. That's because a waived player has 48 hours to clear waivers, and all non-guaranteed contracts across the NBA will become fully guaranteed on Jan. 10. In other words, if the Magic have Turkoglu on their roster on Jan. 8 and waive him that day, he will not clear waivers before the time his contract becomes fully guaranteed. And, therefore, the Magic would be obligated to pay him $12 million instead of $6 million.
Why the f*** would you ever promote this line of thought. Have you been on some deranged mind bender recently ala Fear and Loathing in Los Vegas?
They will be trying to trade Hedo to a team that wants cap relief, likely one in luxury tax land. The Nets, for example, can save a bundle by trading Pierce for Hedo and cutting Hedo right away. Orlando may be able to flip Pierce for other assets right away or in February.
Good point. But not likely unless Nets are prepared to send Garnett to the team of his choice or buy him out.
Just 2 seasons ago he shot 41% from 3pt land, scoring over 10 per game while adding 4.2apg and 4.4rpg Just last season he was 10 4 and 4.... He's a volume 3pt shooter who can connect at an excellent %. Think a better version of Mike Miller? Might not be much, but if we could get him in place of Corey Brewer, what's not to like???
