If LeBron opts out and Morey gets an opportunity to talk to him I think it's a done deal.

the problem is that what if wade and bosh don't opt out...how much less money will lebron be willing to take in order to get melo here...also melo would have to take a huge paycut...probably more than what he was expecting to take.

Bull. Bev, LeBron, and Dwight are all world defenders. Throw in Parsons and you can pretty much hide Harden. They would be terrific defensively.

Still can't hide Milk Hair. Doesn't matter if you have 3 TheBrons in your team, not going to win anything with that coach.

You can hide slow or small-- like JJ Redick was for Dwight's Orlando teams. You can't hide inattentive and lazy because you can't even anticipate where the need for help would arise if the guy isn't at the spot where the scheme says he is supposed to be.

The bottom line in Miami is LeBron is in control. If LeBron wants to stay then Wade is at his mercy. Wade is the weak link. Everybody knows it including Wade. So if Wade stubbornly revises to opt out and take substantially less so Miami can add the pieces LeBron recruits to add then LeBron can simply walk to Houston or somewhere else and Wade is stuck making $40 million and losing.

Here's another way to look at it. Wade is owed
a little over $41.8 million. If he plays out the last 2 seasons at the max there is very little chance he can get more than a minimum salary deal 3 years from now. So he can simply take that minimum salary now followed by a 3-year deal that rewards him with say $45-50 million (3rd season partially guaranteed).

Guys if LeBron (and Bosh) stay together in Miami this is what will happen. LeBron and Bosh may even give up a few million to be in on the sacrifice with Wade so they can bring in 2 major players. In fact all 3 guys may decide to play for$6-8 million for one season so Miami can load up.

I fully expect that if LeBron stays in Miami that either Wade will take a1-year deal at the minimum or possibly 2 or even all 3 of them play for $10 million or less on one year deals.

lol minimum contract, no one cares enough about winning to take a minimum contract when they're owed $20m plus.

shouldn't the question be: how are the Spurs scorching the Heat (with 3 stars!)? and shouldn't we pattern ourselves more after the Spurs formula than the Heat (sustained success over a loooong period)?
