Hope not. One of my favorite things about most of the recent Houston sports teams is that even if I wasn't a Houston native I would still like the teams.
I don't want a team that is hard to root for.

"If they would have won, it would be a different story. He has so much responsibility. I think them losing will make him make a move and opt out and see him in a different jersey next year."

"I don't think he'll be back on the Heat. He's done all he can do there and it's time for him to move on."

    Where?

"Not LA. Maybe going back to Cleveland?"

If LeBron came over we'd be talking dynasty. Every time it's been mentioned on this forum people scoff at it, but seriously, Houston is a better situation right now for him than Miami--or any other team in the league--from a basketball perspective. That alone has to at least make it a long shot to happen.

Will he actually leave Miami to come here? Eh, probably not. But stranger things have happened.

LeBron is not going to leave the easy comfort of the east to play in the wild wild west on this team without his "lil bro/homie" Harden. He may as well stay where he's at if that's the case.

We are owning the Spurs in Regular season.... it is like a 4th place in any tournament

Perhaps that fact will sway him

Dear Lord, we'd have to trade the entire team for Lebron! or at any event Harden and change.

We have James Harden, Dwight Howard and everyone thinks we are selfish ass holes that are stunting the growth of Lin and Asik. Lol people already hate us.

0% chance LBJ comes to Houston. I doubt he would even entertain the idea

Ill say this.... if he wants to leave Miami now...Houston is clearly the best option for him.

How does that work? he can be a free agent and his max is lower than Melo's

I think there is another kind of chance here. I believe that the possibility to bring LeBron to Houston is close to zero. However, Miami wants to bring Melo in to satisfy LeBron and keep him there. They can't do it with their salary structure. No way the big three is taking a cut. Therefore, A three team deal with NY would bring Melo to South Beach with Asik sending Lin (and, unfortunately Parsons too) to NY and Bosh to Houston (with a lot of fillers and picks involved).

This is based on the simple fact that Bosh is not going to continue for the common good of Miami and wants the salary he is worth of. If Miami doesn't do this, Bosh will opt out and Miami doesn't get anything. When Melo opts out, and he will, NY will not get anything for him either. Therefore, these teams are interested in S/T to protect their interests.

Nope. LeBron has an early termination option for 2014-2015 and a player option in 2015-2016. In other words, he can walk away from the Heat whenever he wants to at this point.

LOL Is Parsons trying to get LeBron to Houston like Dwight? If he can somehow succeed, we pretty much have to pay Parsons whatever he wants and guarantee his jersey to be retired once he is done. hahaha

I do think LeBron leaving Miami is a very realistic option. It not so much that they lost, but it's how they are losing and how much they have depended on LeBron. If the Heat lost in 6 or 7 hard fought games, I could see LeBron staying. But they fact the Heat blew a 4th quarter lead in game 1, barely won game 2 then have been embarrassed and blown out on their own home court in games 3 and 4 is probably the indicator that LeBron in South Beach is coming to an end.

Though, I know LeBron probably won't come to Houston. I do think Houston can offer him some advantages. First, Lebron can cruise in the regular season. Harden has proven he can carry a team in the regular season and with Howard, the Rockets are at worst a 4-5 seed. This way, LeBron won't have to burn himself out till near playoff time, where his "legacy" will be determined more i.e playoff success / rings.

If you are Lebron and you want to win now, Houston is the obvious choice

We have heard all these rumors about signing Melo but if we really want to be the favorites to win it all, there is only 1 player that we should be striving to acquire. Lebron could potentially be a free agent and if we have the salary to sign Melo, why wouldn't we have the salary to sign The King?

As all of us have witnessed during these finals, Miami's roster going forward isn't ideal to win championships. You have an injury plagued D.Wade, and an underachiever in Bosh. The rest of the squad is laughable other than Ray Allen.

So why wouldn't he opt out? I think he will. That leaves only 3 or 4 choices.

The Lakers we can cross off right now. I don't see him playing with Kobe, and besides that this team is not built to win a championship. Lebron will be turning 30 soon and he doesn't have time to waste. I see him going to a team that can win immediately.

Chicago is an obvious choice but considering the condition of Rose, in my opinion it is too risky. Without Rose that team has absolutely zero offensive talent. It would be like going back to his old cleveland squad. The health concerns of D Rose is far too great a risk to sign there.

Cleveland probably the most intriguing choice besides the Rockets. They do have some intriguing pieces in terms of Irving and the 1st round pick, but considering how the city and owner turned on him I think he has some pride. If I was him I'd never go back to that place and play for that idiotic owner.

The logical choice is Houston. Sure it isn't a big glamorous city like miami or los angeles...but at this point in his career he is all about winning. Houston gives him the best chance to win. He will finally have a big man that can dominate in howard. He will have another perimeter player that can take the pressure off of him in Harden. He will team up with the godfather of NBA analytics in Morey. What is not to like?

If Lebron goes to houston they would clearly be the favorite to win the championship for the next 4 years. If he went to any of those other teams you would still probably pick a team like the Spurs or Thunder over them. So if Lebron's sole purpose is to win championships, then in my opinion the only destination is Houston.
