anything good for when you don't feel like cooking? I like HEB egg rolls and Jimmy Dean pancakes and sausage
Also from Costco but I've also seen on Amazon. Best frozen chicken bites on the market. Heat in an oven or air fryer.
I guess ya'll don't meal plan and pre-cook for the week? Anticipate a lot of visits here in your futures:
I make a lot of wraps now. It's cheaper than the frozen breakfast burritos. High fiber low carb wraps with 2 egg whites and one yolk, impossible sausage. I make about 3 at a time and leave them in the fridge. The other go too is bone broth. It's been amazing for me this winter.
I usually cook enough for several days but sometimes I forget to take something out to thaw or just running late and don't have time to cook. It more so a quick fix to get by till the next day. HEB simple meals are good. I like the salmon and broccoli.
I will say that if I am hungry and I don't want to cook and there's nothing precooked to warm up, I just grab a plate of deli meat, cheese and some mixed nuts and it's a good, light meal.
but if the roast is not thawed out or cooked how am I going to make a sammich? the deli roast beef does not do much for me.
I was speaking on the deli sliced roast beef but if that doesn't work I don't know. You can make a wrap quick with onions, jalapenos, olives, lettuce, cheese, and your choice of deli meat and be off to work in 15 mins easy. I just hate too much processed food but depends on your level of tradeoff.
Reads like I need to try these. I don't particularly care for Tyson's chicken nuggets. Something about them. A long time ago...we used to get bulk chicken nuggets from sam's club and fry those up. Those were the best nuggets I ever had. Been looking for an equivalent ever since. But, damn...these Just Bare badboys are $14.99 for 24 ounces at Tom Thumb. Better be good or I'm coming back here to slap you.
They are about $23 for 64 ounces at Costco. I don't have a Costco card but go with a friend once or twice a year.
Haven't tried HEB's egg rolls, but their frozen potstickers are solid. All you need is a non-stick skillet, a little oil (I like sesame but canola works too), 1/4c of water, and about 6 minutes. I usually have some sort of dipping sauce (Viet fish-sauce based or Chinese soy based) mixed up in the fridge also. eta: if you're close to an Asian megamart, I'm sure they have better ones. And if you don't want to mix your own, just buy a bottle of whatever dipping sauce looks good to you.
These have gotten great reviews, I'm tempted to order a couple of boxes (comes out to $2.60 each with shipping to TX) https://www.thepizzacupcake.com/
I ordered these after I saw your post. Nice flavor and it has some hidden mozzarella once you bite into them.
