Meh, would have preferred Jonathan Feigen for this gig. But I hear he's got something worked out with 97.5 FM.

That sux! It should have been JVG.

Let's see....1560 The Game has Nick Van Exel, 97.5 has Jonathan Feigen and Calvin Murphy, don't know who's on 790, and the Rocket's flagship station has Matt Bullard? What stupid thing did he say about Yao during last night's game? Something like he should take at least 10 shots from 18 feet a game? I was listening in on Geno, was he still mispronouncing Dirk's last name with a "w" instead of "v?"

responded in another thread, but this is pretty humorous. Nick Van Exel? Oh let's see, never a Rocket, not a current Rocket commentator. He was a good NBA player, but not a hall of famer or anything, and other than the fact that he lives in Houston, has absolutely nothing to do with the Rockets. He did play for Dallas and San Antonio, though.

610 is a local sports radio station. they're not going to get Magic Johnson or Charles Barkley to do a weekly show.

oh, and Matt was spot on last night about Yao taking outside jumpers. He's shown he can clearly make it. He'll still get post plays.

I think this is a great add to the line-up.

Bullard is a smart guy who knows his hoops.

    Good choice.

Just wish his sense of humor wasnt so corny..... :D

Thanks for the heads up Matt.

I'm always leery of getting the straight scoop from someone if they work for the Rockets (unless it was JVG), but I think Bullard will be good.
