He was eating us alive on the boards last night. Of course, he abused Andersen. But one time he really scared me: darn near dislocated Landry's elbow AND shoulder dragging Landry and the ball over his back when Landry was trying to rip the rebound. Dude may have no knees, but he'll be a rebounding force until he can no longer walk.
Yes you do. I'm gonna talk to Morey myself and demand him make you the assistant to the assistant scout.
We picked dorsey and I think Blair was a better player than dorsey. Blair had some good moves down low.
We picked up Dorsey last year but so far this year JT would have been better invested in Blair's pick. I still have hope for the young Spanish guard that's a pick for the future but I'm not sold on Taylor at all.
I don't think the Spurms will be crying over that - he was a 2nd round flyer. If he contributes solidly off the pine then they will be happy, anything more is just gravy. Very astute selection by San Antonio.
Wish we had him here. He would do well with Scola and Landry. And when Yao comes back, he would play well alongside him.
As long as he trains well, he should have major injury issues. As stated by DD, he should be fine as long as his Quads and Hams are strong. That's smart training (something T-Mac wish he knew 5 years ago). That being said, he is still a risk, and I wouldn't taking him only because the Rockets have had enough heartbreak with injuries. If we weren't stacked at the position, I would be crying we didn't getting him, but it's ok for the Rox.
Preseason numbers to date: Blake Griffin: 14.7 PPG, 8.5 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 60% FG in 28.5 minutes per game DeJuan Blair: 14.7 PPG, 8.2 RPG, 1.7 SPG, 60% FG in 18.0 minutes per game Just saying.....
Dude put up 10/8 in 11mins so far in tonight's game vs. Hornets... I wish we picked him up instead of JT...
14/11/3 on 70% shooting in only 23 minutes It will be interesting to see what kind of burn he gets in normal games that aren't complete blowouts. At least right away. I think we all pretty much know at this point that he's the real deal. The questions are simply: will he stay healthy and how long before he's a fixture in SA's rotation (hell, possibly even starting).
It's too early. Teams will adjust to Blair. After about 30-40 games, then we'll see. A good pre-season and a good game against the sorry Honey Bees on opening night doesn't prove anything just yet. But it looks like the Spurs will get their money's worth on a 2nd round draft pick.
His offense will be all over the place but his rebounding won't. I guess it all depends upon what standards you're holding him to.
