Finale didn't really deliver much that I didn't expect outside of Holy Wayne's exit and his "wish" granting...
It seemed to me that the writers got to the last 15 minutes of the season, realized they were out of time, and jammed all the resolution in almost as an afterthought. It was jarring how slow it was going, before suddenly transitioning to so fast that there was no time to actually tell a story. One of the strangest and least satisfying finales I can remember. I think I have whiplash. I liked John from Cincinnati. Characters were kind of quirky and the story was engaging. Leftovers is like John, minus all the humor and quirky interesting characters. It's like they decided to attempt to remake John from Cincinnati as a deadly serious, ponderous, self important drama.
Lol that's exactly what it seemed like. I wasn't disappointed with it though, just seemed par for the course with this series.
I watched 1 episode of the first season and said **** this, but the second being in Texas has me intrigued
So what's the diagnosis here? Something worth starting for someone that hasnt watched any episodes yet? Not that I have much time on my hands, but I always like adding video games, books, and TV Shows on my ever growing to-do list.
yes, it's worth watching imo. very dark and acting is top notch. just the horror, sorrow, frustration, and anger that these folks relay just from their facial expressions is saddening. the score throughout is effing fantastic/depressing. yep. i haven't enjoyed a series this much since "six feet under".
Season 2 has been leaps and bounds better that season 1, and I actually enjoyed season 1. Great show.
I must have missed something because the end of this latest episode...the black guy is going to do what he did to the main character and then he doesn't follow through while blowing his...you know. I didn't see earlier in the episode but that was weird. This whole show is weird.
he gave him a high dose of opioids to kill him, and claimed that epinephrine would bring him back as he would inject it 5 minutes in. He gives him the opiods, kills himself and doesn't give the epinephrine.
i Spoiler dont know why either, but im guessing thats what he was talking about with the michael kid before they were interrupted by kevin. thats why he looked all sad and appeared right after it happened and dragged him off. shows definitely weird, but i really like it
My guess.... Spoiler Kevin's hand was scanned earlier in the episode, I'm assuming the kid told the old black dude and decided to off Kevin. Just a guess.
