Good call... with all of us homebound. I think Cinemax and Starz was also showing content for free. I also believe NY Times is allowing content (at least COVID-19-related) for free.
Too bad there's no Game of Thrones or Westworld. Even just putting up the first season or two of GoT and the first season of Westworld would have been a good way to get people invested into eventually buying blu-ray sets (GoT) or subscribing to HBO (Westworld).
Thanks for the heads up. Quoted it to make it a little easier to read for us on the dark side of things
I missed the first few episodes of both Barry and Succession and so haven't gotten into them yet. This is awesome.
There are not many shows out there as ambitious as that one. And for the most part they pulled it off. The female lead and I have a lot of the same ideas when it comes to spirituality.
I finished the first season on prime about a week ago and meh..... I dont get the whole "best show ever" appeal. I liked "Southland" on TNT for a show that gives different perspectives on the workings of a police dept.
Agreed. I wanted to love it but I just couldn’t stay invested through the second season. The Sopranos was far better imo for that era
Most definitely. I'm 3 episodes in, and I've wanted to strangle pretty much every character since about halfway through the 1st episode. Not a lot of redeeming qualities on display. And yall are nuts re: The Wire.
Ive never wanted to strangle so many people in a cast. Its so hard to make me hate almost every character on a show. Casting director is great at his/her job. Im on season 2(which is the better season) and some redeeming qualities shine through here and there but that family is such a 1% **** show.
Pretty sure you are the only person in this thread to make that claim. And yeah, Southland was good, but...
Theyll catch on one of these days, or that trains gonna leave'em. But......? Never even got a proper conclusion. Sad.
