no thanks.. poor shooting, and seemingly a terrible fit for adelman's offense in terms of understanding and making proper decisions

A 3 way trade with McGrady and Brooks and a future 1st to the Hawks if needed, with a team which would take Smith and give us something back in value is ok with me.I don't want to trade with a team eg the Knicks which will almost certainly require us take back contracts (Eddy Curry).

The problem with Smith is not so much how he plays basketball. It's his attitude. He's feuded with Mike Woodson from the very beginning, throwing temper tantrums when criticized for ballhogging in clutch situations and poor shot selection. His emotions combust at the worst possible times--a bad thing for a Western Conference playoff team.

not a big fan of his because of his style of play, but i do love his athletism, something we lack up front. maybe mac for smith + filler wouldn't be bad, but i'm sure he's not a player morey's targeting.

The main reason they took a decade was because they kept blowing their top picks and getting redundant players...i.e. really raw SF/PF Hybrids. Had they gotten CP3 instead of Marvin Williams, I guarantee the Hawks would have at very least an Eastern Conference title by now.

Yeah the guy is probably the 2nd most athletic player in the league next to Lebron James. If he willing to play in our offense and be coached by Rick than I would take him in a heart-beat. If that was the case then I would trade Tmac for him alone if I could or maybe add a guy like Barry, AB, or Wafer (that's if we sign him first).

I think that would be great! Artest gets his money and goes to a team in the Eastern Conference that is a playoff team and we still have Tracy's contract that we could possibly use to get Amare and Richardson in some kind of deal too. I'm dreaming but Holy **** we would be sooo much more athletic. Imagine a line-up like:

    Lowry/PG from draft
    Richardson/Wafer/White
    Smith/Battier/White
    Amare/Scola/Hayes
    Yao/Amare/Whoever?

    OMFG !!!
