----------------------------------------------------------------- If they win tomorrow night vs. Phoenix Suns, I sincerely believe that something special is gonna happen with our beloved Rockets... Oh yea, Post #1
But we have absolutely no margin for error in the last 30 games. We not only have to worry about the Lakers, but also the Kings, the Jazz. I wish I didn't lose the Grizzlies and the Lakers, one win against those teams equals two wins against others. The Clippers are reeling a little bit, but I doubt we'll ever be able to catch up them.
your right we have to take care of business it really doesnt matter what the other teams do. its not really the point.
If we stay healthy................. I really believe that the Hornets are gonna tank the second half. I could even see them winning as few as 10 games. The Warriors are on the brink. LA and Memphis will be doing good to play .500 ball the rest of the way. And as the home town optimist, I can see the distinct possibility of our Rockets winning 43-44 games. Going down the stretch, with a healthy squad, we could really pour it on. Especially if we can pick up another perimeter defender and scorer or one more beast on the glass like Evans.
I hate all the optimism. It is so late in the season. Our records against the good teams are terrible. We are 0-9 against our own division! It is all this complacency got us this position. We always thought we are a great team, if we are healthy, we can flip the switch on anytime we want. The NBA doesn't work this way. Any team can beat any team on a given night. The Hawks can beat the Pistons and the Lakers.
Atlanta at L.A. Lakers, 10:30pm – Phil had always seemed jealous of his Atlanta counterpart. Mike Woodson always seemed in control, in spite of the chaos surrounding him – his appearance neat, his mustache full and properly trimmed. Even worse, Mike had the perfect lineup for Phil’s beloved Triangle: the solid passing center, the interchangeable athletes, plenty of clipboards and dry erase markers. Sure, Phil loved Malibu, the way Jeannie made him feel, the afternoons spent making fun of Kwame – but he wasn’t entirely sure that he wouldn’t give it all up in a second for the chance coaching in glorious Philips Arena. And yet, it was time to go back to work. Tip off was twenty minutes away, Kobe had said something to make Sasha Vujacic cry, and Jim Buss had left eleven messages on his voicemail about Steve Francis. For the time being, Phil was left to dream another day.
when i saw childress shoot the first time tonight i seriously thought he had lost the ball on the way up and then managed to grab it and still get a weird shot off. then i saw him do it again and realized it was his freakin' shot. not sure how i hadn't seen him shoot up until this point, but i hadn't.
