Rockets started and finished without Yao, look to contend with his defensive presence next year.

Chase Budinger is a kid who has proven abilities, will start one day.

    T-mac is gone

Carl Landry, a beast, is now gone to Sac.

Kevin Martin, quiet and awesome, is in Houston

Aaron Brooks continues to impress with amazing accuracy.

Kyle Lowry, the dude we stole from the Griz, is starter material and makes huge impacts.

Battier is losing a step with age coming at him and will be coming off the bench now. Though he is still a great player to have in my book despite his lack of aggression.

Yao, Brooks, Martin, Scola, are a big four.

Ariza grew as a player and learned what he is capable of and not capable of. He’s a good starter to have but definitely not meant to lead a team because he isn’t a great ball handler or shooter when the shot is being covered.

    We missed the playoffs.

    Morey is a certified genius.

Rick is developing the young guys.

Jordan Hill is a future beast in the league.

Last but not least… Scola is amazing. Anyone who doesn’t think he deserves to be an all-star is kidding themselves.

The rockets got younger, and they learned the importance of Yao and Shane on both defense and offense. Morey retooled the team for future while still maintaining the goal on winning a championship in the next 1-4 years.

Rockets did not make the playoffs :(....

We over-achieved with everybody healthy and good defense.

We then lost our defense and health after the dead-line trade, heading to lottery.

Team has some promise- with players like....
Martin, Ariza, Hill, Buddinger, Taylor, Brooks, Lowry,Scola and Yao Ming coming back next season.
Still needs a few adjustments which GM Morey will take care of this offseason.
expect the best ever Rocket's season ! :p

    The Haiku version:

    Like an old lizard,
The Rox shed their T-Mac skin.
    Now they look shiny.

We are younger and have more offense-minded players.

We don't compete on defense very often and we lose very often.

    Rockin' the limerick:

The playoffs, at first a pipe dream,
For the Rox were within reach, it seemed.
Though they soon crashed and burned,
    One lesson they learned:
There is no "T-Mac" in "team."

Rockets injury curse is still screwing us in the backside. Entire team, minus AB and Scola, is or was injured at some point this season.

If 2 sentences is too long, how about 2 words:

    SAD FACE! :(

Rockets had a good start to the season until teams started figuring our system of "share the ball because of no all star" out. We traded Landry for Kevin Martin but failed to make the playoffs.

Played hard, yet realized that talent wins.
Result: Developed young players, organized a team that will be a contender for years to come.

So if I understand correctly: this team is like the 2000-2001 Rockets?

No, those rockets played annoying ISO ball when they figured that Stevie Franchise played best as a ball hog.

This team is looking like a poor man's 03/04 Pistons next season. With Yao back and IF we made no moves (which is highly unlikely), we will be similar to champion pistons.
    Yao, Big Ben
    Scola, Rasheed
    Ariza, Tayshaun
    Martin, Rip
    Brooks, Billups

BUT, we will make waves in the FA. You watch! And we will be better that the team above.
