OP, why haven't you gone to the doctor? I realize that not everyone has insurance but that could be very serious. I had a compound spiral fracture when I was 19 in my right arm. Pretty much like this: Broke it arm-wrestling in Taco Bell in Dickinson. Now I have a titanium plate in my arm and a wicked scar up my bicep. The scar broke the ice with more women than you would believe (and grossed a few out). Women love scars.
“I cannot go to school today," Said little Peggy Ann McKay. “I have the measles and the mumps, A gash, a rash and purple bumps. My mouth is wet, my throat is dry, I’m going blind in my right eye. My tonsils are as big as rocks, I’ve counted sixteen chicken pox And there’s one more—that’s seventeen, And don’t you think my face looks green? My leg is cut—my eyes are blue— It might be instamatic flu. I cough and sneeze and gasp and choke, I’m sure that my left leg is broke— My hip hurts when I move my chin, My belly button’s caving in, My back is wrenched, my ankle’s sprained, My ‘pendix pains each time it rains. My nose is cold, my toes are numb. I have a sliver in my thumb. My neck is stiff, my voice is weak, I hardly whisper when I speak. My tongue is filling up my mouth, I think my hair is falling out. My elbow’s bent, my spine ain’t straight, My temperature is one-o-eight. My brain is shrunk, I cannot hear, There is a hole inside my ear. I have a hangnail, and my heart is—what? What’s that? What’s that you say? You say today is. . .Saturday? G’bye, I’m going out to play!”
Lee Harvey, you are a madman. When you broke your arm, while arm wrestling in that Taco Bell? I want to party with you, cowboy. The two of us together? Forget it.
Yep had heart surgery to get a mechanical valve replacement due to aortic stenosis. Its the same thing that happened to arnold schwarzanegger. We both made a full recovery and my life expectancy is still normal. Robin williams had the same condition and had the procedure a couple years before his suicide. Its common to get very depressed over the next couple years If you stick with it then you can bounce back great though. Im 25 years old so I had a lot more fight left in me than a lot of old guys who get the procedure done. Arnold schwarzanegger being a badass was an inspiration during that time. Needless to say, it was a tough year in my life but here I am as healthy as anyone again.
He has gone to the doctor for his torn meniscus. He cannot get his surgery approved through Workman's Comp.
I have been. The torn meniscus (flap tear) has been diagnosed and surgery recommended by both my orthopedic surgeon and the designated dr for workers comp (TASB). TASB is dragging this out and has required a second opinion of their own designated dr. It's a ridiculous waiting game, and TASB has put up roadblock after roadblock in getting me into surgery. As for the umbilical hernia, I have gone to the doc as well, but my appt for an ultrasound is not until Tuesday. I'm wearing a heavy duty abdominal strap and taking it real easy. My doc suspects a hernia (beginnings of one/mild) I've been doing the research and umbilical surgery looks like I'll have to take a week off of work.
Ah, my bad. That sucks. Thanks for going out on a limb ( quote reference & pun intended) That party lasted about 17 years, probably 5 years too long. I'm a square now and get cranky if I'm not in bed by 9pm. But there are those here who knew me in my don't give a 'F' days...
