Who the hell is going to remember October basketball. These games are meaningless other than a W. At least we know Harden and WB offense is already smooth sailing. Gotta start fixing our holes.
I don’t think even the most casual of fans can’t see that our defense is atrocious but the team is winning so why not just enjoy it? There will be opportunities to dwell and rant about the defense when we’re losing this year.
Guess im looking beyond the regular season bro. For me its championship or bust. I dont think we'll be anywhere close if we dont get better on the defensive end.
seems like your expecting the rockets to look like world beaters right out of the gate even though this is a different team than last year. this is all a process. if you can still win games WHILE you try to figure things out that is a good sign. I am not of the championship or bust mentality though. this roster has too many holes to say they should definitely win the title. hopefully the front office figures out how to add some real depth to this team. ryno, thabo, chander, and mclemore just isnt going to cut it.
I remember when Rockets won 60+, We were all saying Ryno, GG, Luc, and Nene weren't enough. Players grow into their roles. You never know.
Hey, I'll admit, in between innings of that abomination, I checked out the Rockets score, and it was in the 140's Washington up 10 or something..I thought...Damn, that sucks, can't believe we lost to the Wiz! And , lo and behold, I just looked now.. they pulled it out..albeit Old School Denver Nuggets style. Just. Wow. There's good and bad in that score, but...WE WON! No D, pace, and .... The ability to close...impose our will.... Given time we'll rule. : )
i hope i am wrong on that honestly, especially since i doubt tillman would make any move to help us if it means going into the tax. we are stuck with what we have.
I am not saying MDA can't win a ship but it is harder than people think with him. He is just riding 2 MVP's coat tails. This lame duck situation is not going to help, at one point you have to cut your losses, and move on instead of hesitating. I think one Finals appearance would be great, even then MDA is still not the right coach. It's early. I will observe what Philly, Milwaukee and Boston will do.
It's a process of figuring themselves out. I was recalling last year there were games of 130 and 140 in the first 2 months too.
