I can't wait until Orlando rapes Houston out of all future 1st round draft picks and Dwight sits out half the season just to leave at the end. U guys gonna commit suicide
I do not understand why a lot of posters are ok with this idea....desperation does not win championships...Dwight will walk and all the posters saying this is a good trade will be asking for Morey's head
I can't wait until all the people who seem to root for bad things to happen to the Rockets to get off this BBS.
He got the coach and GM fired, they didn't win a championship in 8 years of having him, the bridges have been burned, and at some point you have to mutually agree to part ways. It's time for a change of scenery for Dwight.
As of right now, maybe.... But trust next year the salary dump will commence to make space for Superboy. Watch.
How will they make cap space? That's the problem with all the negative Nancy's. They complain without actually thinking through. Fire Morey!... but no idea who to replace him with. Fire the coach!... but they don't know anything about the actual game of basketball. So, enlighten me. How will Brooklyn create cap space?
No because then we'll get the #1 pick. Also, we'll have a chance to sign-and-trade Dwight if he wants to leave. Either way, it's better than being the 9th seed.
This will be one of the greastest gamble taken by team that will either reap huge benefits or will be the worst ever.
stop drinking the koolaid then! When a player is giving bad signals before he is even traded and his current team is dumping trash on your team, whats the good news? Just to tell fans of other teams " Hey dwight is our center for the next 3 months!!!: Then cry and complain when he leaves and we have no first round picks for the next 2 years. you guys here the name of a star possibly coming to houston and will give up your lives to see him in a rockets jersey. I am glad morey is the GM instead of guys here. He wont cripple our future just to have half a season of one player. .......... i hope
It's not that simple. They can't amnesty any of the contracts they would need to get rid of in order to sign Dwight outright. So they'd need to find teams under the cap to take back guys without sending a contract back.
Magic front office asked Dwight if he would be open to coming back; he said no. That's why they're still trading him. But why would they need to trade him if he had no choice because of this all important 30 million dollars? The Magic have all the leverage, right? So why are they trading him seeing as how they obviously want to keep him?
Uh, even assuming we are the worst team in the NBA, we still have a much greater chance of not getting the #1 pick.
