While I have seen several scoops from Cyberx, I have never seen one from Doc Rocket. His riddles appear to always come out after a story has broke from another news source, whereas Cyberx has provided insightful info prior to it hitting the newswire. Not saying Doc Rocket is a fraud, but just curious if he has ever provided Clutchfans with a legitimate scoop. If so, can someone please post it.

He said that he had direct access to the meetings with Dwight Howard last summer because his source was someone in the room if I recall correctly.

He called the Dwight Howard news literally like 5 months before he signed. He was certainly right about that.

He may have giving some inside news long time ago.....but in Morey's era as GM.. He just makes things up using rumors that are already public

Meh, who cares. Take it or leave it.

Why we always gotta have these conversations when Cyber or Doc or Codman or whoever posts info? Is he legit?! | Has he broken a story before? | Was he [ever] right before?

    Don't think they're legit? That's cool, ignore their threads/posts.
Think they're legit? That's cool too.

    But really, EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.?!

Dwight news was the most recent. You've been on this site for 4 years. Stop with the rookie posts.

Doc hinted that CP3 was going to be a Rocket around the time of the Dwight Howard saga. Although it didn't happen, it got reported a few months after the season that it was close to happening. Doc's legit.

No, I have never posted a scoop and do not claim to be an insider. I am a fan like everyone else here and want to know if he is worth following. Seems like he has legendary status on this site and I am curious as to why.

He knew we had Dwight way before anyone else. And I could be wrong but I think he had info on "basketball reasons" trade too. Oh, and the Tmac trade.

I think sometime ago, Doc Rocket himself said that he was no longer a true insider, although he still had access to people who were in the know.

But back in the days, he was actually inside the Rockets organization, or something like that.

I don't know why people get so defensive over this. He was just asking a question because he wanted information.

He wasn't asking in a sarcastic manner.

Honestly, I'd like to know as well where his reputation as an insider comes from. Some of you have been around a lot longer than others and can explain it.

Doc Rocket goes way back if he's the same guy from the late 90s.

Have we ever had a definitive answer on this?

Unlike everyone else Doc called Dwight to Houston and never waivered.
