It's perfectly fine to be laid back when you are one the greatest defensive players of all time and not know for lack of defensive concentration.
Ok I understand what you are saying. Forget about trends. What about focus and effort? You know you are on the road and you know the mavs are going to fight for their lives. Do you just let them take game 4 because you are confident in winning game 5? Or do you go all out and close them out?
McHale just expressed the team didn't play desperate enough. The body language of our two stars was poor overall for the game. Howard started off well but when he started missing all the free throws he stopped bringing it. Harden didn't start attacking until the team was down 20. Gotta bring it and have more of a killer mentality. Hope they are learning from this. I don't exactly think its a "personality" issue but more of a "mentality" issue but I see where the OP is coming from.
I love all the negative threads after every loss, I'm sure the OP was jumping for Harden after game 3, now this garbage. Hypocrites.
This isn't a negative thread. Unless you want it to be. It's in the eye of the beholder. This isn't about one game so much as it's about a pattern of selective engagement.

Do you feel the rockets had good focus in this game? They should have played with much better effort. That's the issue here
Give the other team some credit first of all. But when we miss the amount of open shots like we did tonight, that almost always lead to easy shots on the other end. That many possessions without scoring at the pace the Mavs were trying to force will almost always lead to good shots for the other team. Mavericks pre-Rondo was the best offense in the league.
dude shouldn't advocate himself as mvp if he can't put away aminu.... aminu is officially the harden stopper..
