I don't fear the beard, I honor it. Today I could've sworn he wouldn't even get to 20 and was like , then out of nowhere he explodes. On pace to averaging 30pts
What's impressive is that he's doing it without playing selfish. I'm pretty sure Kobe doesn't average as many assists as Harden over his 15 game streak.
I hope he can become MVP, it's a fact the last 4 times the rockets made the finals they had a MVP or former MVP leading the way.
Martin, Lamb, lottery pick, Dallas Draft pick that has Morey's Special Protection, and Charlotte's second rounder this year. Not worth Harden in my opinion, but for a team that wouldn't pay another guy big money...that is about as good a deal as they could get. Morey special protection on the Dallas pick is that he allowed it to be so heavily protected (top 20) in all years, but the last year...it could be an unprotected pick in 2018. Nowitzki isn't getting younger. Long wait, but that could be huge.
Actually Dallas put that protection on it when they first sent it to the Lakers in the Lamar Odom trade. Daryl didn't do anything to the pick protections when he conveyed it to the Zombie Sonics. Being outside the top 20 for Dallas may seem like a long way away, but I'd highly doubt the pick ends up being anything special. If you go back over the past few years, the 11th best record in the league has fluctuated between 46-50 wins. Heck, Dallas only missed it by a couple wins last year. Even if it starts going south by next year, they'd still have time to draft a new face of the franchise rookie, AND give him an extension all before there is a danger of them shipping an unprotected pick.
Good move by Lakers then. I think Dallas is old and needs to get something in free agency to get back in top ten soon. West is tough with some young talent.
