Conley ripped Paul apart in the playoffs this year...Lol...

Morey better stick with Beverly because that dude has 1st NBA defensive team player written all over him and Harden and Parsons would pick up the slack running the offense like they where doing in the playoffs.

CP would be a waste of resources...

I find it hard to agree that the unanimously-agreed upon best PG in the league playing right now, and statistically top 2 PG of all time, could ever be a waste of resources in his prime lol.

That lineup screams 3rd-4th seed at best. Not worth the time.

are you sure??? That's two Olympic players in iggy/harden and two great role players in parsons/asik. Josh smith/al Jefferson would be ideal if possible

Not only that, he's probably the 3rd best player in the league right now.

what about bringing on Ak47 as a defensive stopper off the bench? not sure how he's doing w/injuries etc but he's the kind of defensive wing player we could use. (obviously this would be considered a "shoring up the bench" move, not a splash)

I mean obviously I'm not "sure", but Iggy and Josh Smith are both very inefficient offensive players, and are sure to be paid much more than they are worth. Of course we'd improve, especially on defense, but not to the level you'd want after 2 "big" signings.

Point Guard stats don't win championships. There are a lot more great point guards without rings than there are with rings...

And how many rings does Paul have...???
How many legitimate championship contending teams has he been on...???
And how often do we here about his teammates being upset with him because of his attitude...Lol..

Because the fact Harden runs the point so much on this team Paul would be a waste of resources. And Paul may be the best point guard in the NBA, but Beverly is a better defender than him RIGHT NOW...

Yuck. He's 32 years old and he'll make $10 million dollars next year.

Plenty of great PGs went to the finals. It's hard to win a ring when you are playing against Bird, Jordan, Kobe, Shaq, Duncan, and LeBron. There wasn't much room to win championships.

Utah was a great team and was unlucky to be living in the Jordan era. The Nets were a great team and was unlucky to be living in the Kobe/Shaq and Duncan era. We're in the LeBron era and unless you think we can get LeBron, we will have to settle with having the best PG in the league, one of the greatest PGs to ever play, and have a puncher's chance at getting a championship by teaming him up with the next best SG in the league.
