even after that 60pt game, he STILL cant pick up harden's jockstrap. i can score 100 in 15 minutes in 2k. he can barely get 60 in 29 minutes, okaaaaaaaaaaay durrrrr
Put Thompson In to the rockets roster and harden into the gsw roster. GSW wins the championship for sure and Rockets are a lottery team. Simple as that.
This is the way you compare two players. Last year when the whole Lebron vs Curry was the hot topic, if you interchanged them it was not difficult to reach the conclusion that Lebron is the better player. There is always the question of compatibility between players / team playing styles but it is the most reliable way of analyzing and comparing the "worth" or impact of two players.
Compatibility is key. What is if Harden self implodes because his ego cannot cope with Dray Green? It will be interesting to see (almost reality TV stuff like) how Curry, Harden and Durant would be whining about touches. Yul C.
GSW doesn't need Harden's shot making abilities. They already have an all-time great offense. GSW might get worse with Harden instead of Klay.
watching Klay go 7-20 with KD and Curry resting while losing to the Kings at home reminded me of this thread I still can’t believe Harden vs. Klay was actually a thing as if Klay was ever anywhere near Harden’s level
Yeah he looked great losing to the kings as a leader. Dumb stuff.Harden is on a trajactory to finish as a top 3 or 4 SG of alltime whilst Klay is nothing more then a super role player.
harden need to get in the salon for 35-45min of skin bleachin if he wanna move up to klay type greatness
you realize you're arguing something the guy you quoted didn't say at all? Harden's clearly a better SG than Klay or anyone else in the league. Klay last night it wasn't so much about his overall line, or even the loss, but the last 2 minutes was not pretty for him, imo. It was basically him trying to get open, not entirely successfully, then throwing up well guarded shots. As the #1 guy I think Klay would struggle and max out as a Reggie Miller type ... which is still really pretty good but clearly a level below top tier or even tier 2. Reggie is like that last tier that just barely makes the HOF, imo.
Still nonsense. You give the Warriors Harden for Klay and they still would take Harden. You will fit James one way or another in that offense. You just dont pass up a guy like james (right now top 3 player) you will somehow fit him in.
The Warriors made 16 3s last night compared to the Kings' 9 made 3s, and the Warriors still lost at home. Normally, making 16 3s in a game especially at home would be enough to win. Warriors don't concern me as much as year's past namely because of the immense difference CP3, Tucker and Luc have made to the Rockets roster. Warriors have the championship pedigree but prior to the past 3 seasons.....................they.....didn't have the pedigree. Rockets, if healthy, will be a force for anyone and this roster AS IS is good enough to take down the Warriors in a 7 game series en route to a championship.
hmm you don't agree that this is "Dumb stuff": how does any team get worse if they get a smart and unselfish MVP entering his prime whose bball IQ is at par with Morey, MDA, and CP3?
I'm just pointing out that (i) Klay leading a team with Harden's success is not the same as (ii) Harden fitting in with GSW. They're kind of separate arguments. You don't build teams in a vacuum. In a vacuum, clearly Harden is orders of magnitude better than Klay, offensively. But is it cut and dry, in real life, that the Warriors would take Harden in place of Klay? I'm not entirely sure. Klay is "ok" being option #3/#4, doesn't get paid $28+ million a year, and can be a fantastic defender, to the point where he had a horrible offensive finals last year overall but still was solidly positive value add for them. They're just completely different kinds of players.
so you're "not entirely sure" that if GSW had Harden in 2016 KDs first year with them, they would have beaten Lebron & the Cavs in the Finals
