What Llull actually offers in terms of talent has nothing to do with my statement.

What I'm getting at is that If I can get 75% of Dragic for the MLE when Dragic will cost a full max ..... I take the MLE guy already having two stars on the roster and very limited cap space to work with.

How perfect would Kyle Lowery be in this offense? He would be a key ingredient tk take the load off harden

Rubio would be equivalent to getting Rondo, without the attitude. He can't shoot and he's not a great creator off the dribble.

Better defender than the current Rondo and much younger. Supposedly hasnt entered his prime yet. Better at feeding the post.

Worse at finishing at the rim, probably worse than Bev and Prig in that regard.

Rubio is a good defender and a good passer. Just can't put the ball in the hole.

he's been in the league for 4 years now and hasn't even shown any indications of improvement. very unlikely he makes some drastic change after failing to even show signs in 4 years.

I doubt hes worse than current Rondo at finishing at the rim..but wont bother to go check stats anyway.
yup. Thats why in my opinion wont be a good fit. But he is better than current Rondo even if you take the attitude out.

LOL But He's not. I'm not even a Rondo fan. Rondo is a good finisher at the rim and he has a better ball handler. Oh and Defense, One guy got dropped by Harden and the other guarded him well. Just guess which one of those guys are Rubio.

Um, Jordan got crossed by Iverson. One lowlight does not a career make.

Don't know why Rubio's skills are being discussed. The Rockets aren't trading for him. Odds of him playing 60+ games a year regularly are extremely low. You can't risk that.

Wicky is being discussed because Wubio is reported to be available.

I would not be surprise if the Rockets have interest, but as a 4th/5th priority if they don't find anything better for which to use their cap flexibility.

Yes. Lets judge a whole players defence by one single happening. No matter that Rondo hasnt been really trying in defence the last years. And what matter who is the better finisher when Rondo is afraid to attack the rim and penetrate most times?

They'd be better suited signing other players to one year deals as backups.

DM knows this now. He's seen first hand the benefit of having some space available for pickups during the year, and the benefit of building out a bench.

He's not going to agree to take on a contract at $12 million a year for multiple years for a player that is just as likely to be injured come playoff time next year (more likely, really) as he is healthy.

It's not whether Rubio's skills fit, or if he is over/under paid relative to his skill-set when healthy... it's that the guy is barely ever healthy.

I see the chances of Rubio being on the Rockets next year as less than 1%.

The guard the Rockets need at #15 is Delon Wright.

6'5" point guard with a 6'7" wingspan. An unselfish point who defends, rebounds and scores. Best defensive point guard in the draft and the type of point guard the Rockets need to defend Curry. Quick feet on defense, uses his length and can recover and block the shot.

    In college:

    14.7 points 5.0 rebounds 5.0 assists 2.1 steals 1.0 blocks 50.5% fg. 83.5% ft. 35.6% 3-pt.

    Correction. Rockets pick is #18.

Just draft Delon Wright at #18. Perfect PG for the Rockets needs, especially defensively.

I would be surprised we're still interested in Rubio. Morey wanted him around the draft, but that was when we had no stars and were desperately trying to grab talent. Rubio's on a big contract now. Do we really want him on our books when the 2016 free agency starts? If he's hurt or doesn't work out, he'll be extremely hard to move. He's an impact player, but I don't even see him as that great of a fit. He needs the ball and can't shoot. If he's Plan E, can you really say we're interested at all?

Bingo. We weren't willing to outbid the Mavs' crappy offer for Rondo (thankfully). How much would we be willing to bid for Rubio's big contract?
