I thought this franchise is bad, but looks like its just going to get worse. This team will always be a hero ball no defense team with harden as dictator.

Exactly, his role will only go as far to suggest a coach. Then Les who has publicly stated he will take a more hands on approach this summer in the front office takes that suggestion and names him the next coach. All the while Morey sits back and quietly watches like a cuckold GM. He's not running the show anymore.

Calvin: The Houston Rockets, who are in the middle of a coaching search, have yet to present any of the candidates to star guard James Harden according to a source. Rockets owner Leslie Alexander said they would talk to Harden during the coaching search and free agency process. It appears in the early stages the organization has yet to talk to Harden. But there's a feeling they will at some point before a final decision is made. The Rockets have spoken to at least seven candidates about the coaching job.

Kind of feel like that could be more of a reality...like this extensive coaching search is going to conveniently stretch for a few days after the Thunder are eliminated...

This is great. Harden is going to surprise us by choosing someone who is defensively good but also understands young players.

I can't think of a single situation where a player with poor work ethic was ridden by a coach to be a superstar long term.

I can think of several situation where a coach that understands players psychologically transformed a player's work ethic. This is the right approach to take.

Some fans seem to want to use the coaching hire as a punishment for the past. Which is understandable. We're all hurt, and I guess some people feel the need to dish out pain now and that makes these dinosaur coaches like JVG or Thibs all the more attractive to them. I don't know what type of fandom that is, but I know it's not conducive to building dynasties.

I'm sure it will also help with recruiting Durant, taking our chances up from almost 0%.

Yeah, i know it may sound ridiculous, but why they're so slow and meeting with literally every coach out there? Maybe it's normal but it does seem at least a bit strange.

Harden should be watching Curry and be taking notes on that instead.
