Well it all depends on how big is his input. If its basically him deciding then things arent going well with this team. Consulting and discussing with the franchise players is normal. Having the players decide is smth only cp3 and lebron do. Btw I am not sure Harden would like jvg as a coach.
Here's the thing though. Harden does not have the maturity or basketball iq to pick the coach. The dude okayed the FO move to get rid of McHale and put the rookie jbb in charge for the season. He called for the recruitment of TY Lawson and that was a failure. My feeling is that Les and Morey are afraid Harden is gonna leave Houston for LA and they must appease to him so he'll stay.
