Unfortunately when Iggy is back we likely don't get that switch.

 

Fortunately, if he's in the game, he's just a 22% 3 point shooter who we can play the percentage game with.

 

Unfortunately when Iggy is back for Golden State, he doesn't make the shots that Swaggy P does.

You could play a lot of "what if" scenarios with this one. What if Curry had a half decent game, what if Ariza and Green had played, what if Swaggy didn't hit 90% of his 3s against Houston, What if Gordon and/or Ryno gave us anything tonight, etc.

The big story isn't whether we win that game under slightly different circumstances - it's that as absolutely dominant as GS has been the last several years, we have showed we can hang with them this year and that's a big difference from earlier years where our only path to beating the Warriors was Harden dropping damn near a 50+pt triple double - in other words, stuff that doesn't happen very often. Against a team as dominant as the Warriors, if you got a chance to take the game down to the last few possessions, that's a very positive sign regardless of the final score. That's just the reality of playing possibly the best team of all time.

Second game back after an absence of seven, after a serious injury. A HUGE performance from JAMES HARDEN! Nothing less than remarkable!

 

17 or 18-0 with a Harden/CP3/Capela in the lineup, including 2-0 against GSW? Not too shabby

Damn, I welcome Stromile but he was Stromile Soft when he played for us, never got to Allstar status that Mergady promised.

One of my take aways: rested/fewer minutes Harden = best Harden

 

Or 3 weeks of strip clubs = better harden

 

This season Harden has been playing above average defense, I am seeing hustle and active hands. The Rockets may not be the best at blocking shots, but they are #3 in steals per game.
A steal measures higher then blocks only because a steal is a turnover that leads to fast breaks and many other opportune scoring in transition.

 

Harden also had a block on someone's runner in the lane in the first half.... I want to say it was on Curry, not sure.

 

My special purpose elongated after this game. Winning the season series against these f*cksticks made my week.

 

Unfortunately when Iggy plays the Rockets he is a 98% three point shooter.
