Wasn't that tape falling off the other game? What's the purpose of the tape? Does he shoot better with it? Play better D? EDIT: Never mind, just read the article
"I’m just trying to partner with companies that fit my style . . . not just the companies that everyone is going with, but the ones I can vibe with and grow with.” Whoever he has guiding and advising him is doing a great job. Isn't James available to sign a exclusive shoe deal this summer? The statement above has to make NIKE feel nervous about their chances of retaining him. I think Under Armour is gonna offer him a deal that exceeds the Kevin Durant proposed contract.
Nike choosing Lillard for a signature shoe before Harden might have been one of the dumbest moves I've seen Nike ever make.
Great to hear for James. It seems like he's really got his head on straight in regards to his career...basketball first, intelligently selected endorsements that don't overextend him, and just build your personal brand quietly and steadily. Constrast to the recent trend of trumpeting to the world "look at my brand!" and publicly referring to "my brand" as if it were a decision-making member of the entourage, which has been far too common and incredibly annoying in NBA circles for roughly the last 5 years..
How the heck does the tape stay in place to be consistently effective? Just seems like some gimmick mojo with no real substance.
It has stayed in place pretty much every game..last game it was coming off, but I believe a defender pulled it off on a foul.
It doesn't really. It is sort of a placebo for athletes with sore/injured muscles. Everything i have seen from a medical perspective says it does nothing. Regular people buy it and make the company tons of money thus getting Harden to endorse it. Causing more people to buy it. But good for James.
interesting that the NBA didnt want rose wearing this tape after he wore it for a few games for neck pain.
Technically, science hasn't proven it does nothing. It just can't find a reason why it does what they say it does. It's working for people, somehow.
