I agree. This position is like Harden is atop of a list of flawed players. Where are the Jordans, Drexlers of this world?
That makes it even more puzzling. I assumed this system weighed defense more heavily than offense. How can Jimmy Butler be rated higher than DeRozen if this weighs more heavily on offensive stats?
I feel like in the past people didn't evaluate defensive ability like they do now or take into account efficiency like they do now. So players from back in the day were probably over valued.
It doesn't, but Harden's defensive stats aren't seen so bad because his opponents rarely go off (due to being too tired to do much, see Matthews in the playoffs)
SAS and Skip's answers seem like the whole thing is trolling, i mean Harden said something that he knew would do this in social media, so those 2 went completely ridiculous to the point they were obviously saying something they don't believe Tbh, if i got as much hate as he gets, I'd probably do what Harden is doing as well. It's kind of hilarious how irrational the hate he's got has become and he's fanning those flames.
Ya, cant say I agree with that assessment. That being said, I met him at Kroger in the Memorial area last month....friendly guy. He's a big dude, way taller than I imagined a NBA SG would be anyways.
And Parker, too. It isn't a vote. It's a list based purely on one stat. And Parker didn't make Top 10 last year either.
"Here are the projected top 10 shooting guards for the 2014-15 NBA season" Key word. This is just someones guess
