We want the middle of the pack team that are scrappy. Never to tank and never to win. That's how we like it.

'Houston should've done better' narrative is what killed Harden's reputation, but if you think about it this is ridiculous. If Dwight was half the player of what he used to be, maybe so. But, this team basically has no offense outside of Harden and suck just as much on defense when Harden is not on the floor, proving the problem is much bigger than one player. And somehow Houston should've won like 50+ games? Do people realize Durant and Westbrook only won 55 games this season?
And yet Lillard, who plays zero defense and might be the worst defensive "star" guard in the league, is a media darling and gets a 2nd team nod. Harden might be a YouTube star for his bad defense but when his defense is good everyone looks away. I don't think he's a particularly good defender but how can you pick Lillard and then leave off Harden if you're citing defense as the deciding factor?
Some people love to see the Rockets fail, then in the same breath, say they are fans of the team. It's embarrassing. I really hope this motivates Harden, but as of now, we really have no idea what motivates him.
Effort matters, no one is going to vote for a player they think was half assing it out on the court no matter how good their offense was. It's only natural to reward those who do things the right way. Hopefully Harden learns from this and we get a better, motivated Harden next season.
LOL As others have said, fuel for the fire. Get Harden some "just role players" next year (and another freaking playmaker) and he will prove these fools wrong. I hated how he played at the beginning of the season, but it's been clear that he carried this team from chasing the number one pick to the 8 seed.

I hate watching the Rockets fail. Harden was part of the reason they failed so sorry if I don't give a **** about him missing out on an award.
I do, money, the limelight, celebrity status. He got all that last summer with Adidas contract and Khloe Kardashian.
That's a bit silly though. exactly 6.1 or more? Exactly 1.7 steals or more? Also mentioning it with MJ as if it's closer than it really is? MJ 32.5ppg, 8rpg, 8apg, 2.9spg and 0.8bpg. 31.1 PER 14.6OWS 5.2DWS 19.8WS
As the media continues to crush Harden's reputation some of us still lash out at Maury for tweeting and reminding the public how good Harden is.
