Agreed, except "15" isn't exactly random.

The "14" assists from Harden's recent Wilt-performance?..... yeeeessss

I do wonder who had 14 rebounds in the current thread though. And which players only did it once in a season.

Trade him for KLove and trade Dwight for Brook Lopez. Then we'll have two big mean who can score. Then we will win title. Book it.

That's gotta be at least 4 rebounds per bottle of Hennessy bought at Specs. Hard to find a more impressive ratio than that anywhere else in the league.

last night they showed on tv during the sac-cha game, that cousins scored 45+ pts (w/ 10+ rebs?) in b2b games. 3rd or 4th player who had done it in the last 30 seasons.

similarly, great achievement. meaningless stats imo.

When you hear of great statistical accomplishments, you don't ever think of historical terms?

looks like i do have problems w/ my grammar.

when i say "meaningless stats", i dont mean the triple-double or the b2b 45pts in itself. i was referring to "first player to do it since..." or "the youngest player to have ever dont it in last X seasons" etc. their cutoff usually is so random.

otoh, if the gsw can break the bulls' 72-10 record this season, that'd mean sth.,,,

This happens as soon as All-star votes are in and he's not a starter.

rondo is the first player in nba history, who had 20 assts and 10 rebs in a 2ot game, whose name is rondo, and still lost the game.

    great stats, eh?

While I celebrate Harden's play, I do agree. If you set arbitrary numerical and date cutoffs you can prop about anybody up.

Michael Jordan scored 50 with 6 steals and less than 6 turnovers multiple times. The only player to do it since?

James did not improve much in the offseason, but his rebounding is definitely improved. It's worth noting. Going from 5.7 to 6.3 per game might not seem like a big improvement, but his effort to get to the rebound when it's in the air is pretty evident to me. Keep it up, James!

15 rebounds at his size? More evidence that the league has gotten soft. How would Harden of gotten 15 rebounds in Jordan's era? He'd be missing some teeth for sure.

    There ya go...

What that stat really shows is how crappy Harden can be.

    Mr Half-Ass vs Mr Hustle

James was lazy as f*** vs MIN and Brewer capitalized. All the fastbreak dunks Corey got due to Harden's lackluster effort. Corey doesn't accomplish that against any other player in the league.

Jordan could average 20 rebounds a game in today's league.

Harden got out-hustled many times for easy fastbreak dunks by Brewer.

^^^ probably thinks postgames have been eliminated due to rules
