Fair enough. I still think we can be in the mix for the chip in the future, but we need another star and get younger/more athletic badly imo, and it's not going to be easy...or maybe yes, hopefully that's what Harden is talking about
I think other NBA coaches would have tried Faried, especially since he had an amazing game against this very Warriors team in the regular season. I mean you'd think he'd be worth an old college try. MDA throws out Green and gives him a run because again, MDA only thinks about scoring scoring scoring first. There were times we get out rebounded and what does MDA do? Goes small. He's thinking still about 'scoring' and that's why we see guys like Gerald Green get a shot instead of Faried because maybe Green gets hot, it doesn't hit him that maybe Faried goes out there and dominates on the glass and plays decently and gives you more than Capela.
And to think that Gerald with those 3 consecutive **** ups in 30 seconds probably costed us the game just like Anderson last season...ouch.
Harden hits those 5 FTs it’s a tie game. Who’s to say we don’t lose in OT. Y’all poking at straws. Harden did his job. It’s pure garbage around him.
Maybe next year either Curry or Klay can get injured in addition to Boogie and Durant. Perhaps then we can finally win.
Seriously. I got tired of people saying "Can't play Faried because of his defense..." Meanwhile we kept throwing Green in there hoping randomly that he got hot.
It's probably not what he's thinking, but look what Brook Lopez being stationed 30 feet from the basket did for Giannis. He's going to win MVP and maybe a championship. Meanwhile, we have... Capela. Certainly good enough against most teams but we need backup bigs with range that can exploit the very centers that exploit Clint. Capela is a great athlete and a great roll guy and dunker, but that crap just doesn't work in the playoffs and the Rockets coaches and Harden/Paul should know better.
If only KD, Boogie, Klay, and Green get hurt, then we will have the same number of active all stars. I think we could win that matchup.
You guys remember when we went through all of those years of not being able to win a playoff series? And we all talked about how much it sucked? Well we've won 6 playoff series with Harden as our guy. The ones we havent won were against the Warriors and Spurs (also OKC and Portland, but Harden was still figuring out how to lead back then). Harden is our guy. And he's a damn good one to have on our side. Yeah, he hasnt beaten the Warriors in the playoffs, but you know who else hasn't? Literally every other team not named the Cavs. Rest, regroup, and then go at their asses again next year.
which ain’t happening...Harden needs to demand a trade and go somewhere where he can play with the talent necessary to win a title instead of just being a challenger to the real contenders
Harden missed five free throws, so I'm guessing harden will work on free throws this summer (the part of game he struggles with most).
