Cavs were 1-5 when Lebron was out. OKC were 3-7 when KD was out. In terms of the magnitude of impact on their team's performance, it's not even close. Lebron and KD are much more important to their respective team than Kawhi is to SAS.
I know Worrell is a Rockets' homer, but I do think it's interesting he put Harden in there. I feel like he's been more critical of him this year than any other season from a game to game basis. Then again the Game 5 debacle where everyone but him sucked hard may have swayed him.
those have nothing to do with Leonard, in no way should take away from how great of a player KL has become. GS is 6-3 with Steph out this year, I guess that means he isn't that important to their team.
Comes into training camp out of shape and uses half the season to burn the extra lard out of him. Sure sounds like a top 20 MVP votee'
in some sense yes. Curry is not as important to GSW as people think. GSW will not fall apart like Lebron-less-Cavs or KD-less-OKC without Curry. But they do need Curry to win the championship, for sure. I'm not taking anything away from Kawhi, but he is starting to get overrated due to sheer team success. http://nbalead.com/2016/04/21/kawhi-leonard-overrated-superstar/
Yeah Lowry is leading the worst shooting back court in the playoffs in the last 20 years. He has more help and better coaching and still has not averaged or gone as far as Harden has and his defense is overrated with Dragic having torched him any chance he gets. He fouled out in one of the most important playoff games this year and has relied on others to carry him to this point in the playoffs. Your narrative doesn't work.
you can find articles advertising many players are overrated including your very own Harden whom you've been defending til the end. its all hearsay when it comes to those. to each its own.
Toronto has two all stars and a big man who can actually make his free throws and defend without crying about touches. They have a coach that is vastly better than any Harden has had in Houston. Lowry is surrounded by shooters and defenders and has several guys who can get there own shot. Harden has none of those things. The fact that he was able to carry us so far the previous season is astounding. Harden's a good leader there was just nothing to lead.
Kawhi scored more points in the regular season on much better efficiency. He's also the best defender in the league. In the playoffs they're averaging about the same points
During 2013-2014 season, Rockets went 6-3 without Harden. At this rate, Rockets would have won ~55 games, one more win than their record. So what do you make of that? Harden was scrub then?
to it's own, but it's weird that 2nd in MVP is not even the main go-to-guy on the offensive side. It's like seeing Scottie Pippen outranking guys like Hakeem, Barkely, David Robinson, or Karl Malone in the MVP voting just because Chicago won more games and is a defensive anchor. No,
Ballots due day after season ends. Game 5 vs Warriors had no effect on his voting. It was a homer pick.
It not weird at all to me. Kwahi was the top scorer and top defender on a team won 67 games. And yes he was the go-to guy in a lot of the games.
