    Dragić averaged 18 points, 3.5 rebounds, 8.4 assists, 1.8 steals, 49% fg, 38% 3p% as a starter. Yup, it's on him.
LMA was a part of this year's and last year's Portland team that had the ability to go in the playoffs, but failed. You wouldn't want him playing for Houston because he "didn't rise to the challenge"?

would have caused havoc with him and harden on the court and now introducing DH would have been amazing to watch.. oh well it is what it is

Dragic on a scrub team and as the number one option averaged just a tad bit more than lin.

Yes. Would be preferential to the current Rockets PG situation.

his 3pt% was worst than jeremy lin last year. "lin can't shoot, lin is a bad 3pt shooter."

    *shrugs* the numbers don't lie.

I agree except the word "idential" is not spelled p-r-e-f-e-r-e-n-t-i-a-l.

Indeed, and a player option in year 4 for a 30 year old is not a big deal.

I actually really respect Dragic for contesting that.

Nobody has mentioned defense yet... Dragic was always a strong defender, which you need next to harden.

That being said I think dragic would have been better last year, but Lin has the opportunity to be better this coming year with a better target in the paint and hopefully improved 3pt shooting.

Nothing wrong with Lin - I would rank him slightly lower than Dragic, but not a huge difference.

Same with all of our PGs of late.

    1. Dragic
    2. Lowry
    3. Lin
    4. AB

Not much difference in any of them in team wide productivity - they all have strengths and weaknesses.

I would prefer Dragic over all of them, but honestly, I think they can all work well with the team.

Everyone say it with me: Cap Flexibility.

The Rockets will have money to spend in 2015 because they didn't sign Dragic. As pointed in a nice thread, this could help us get a player like Aldridge at the deadline or next summer.

I actually talked about this with some friends.

I wouldn't mind trading for Goran and Scola that would be a nice line up and great mixture of vets and young guys.

    PG- Goran/Beverly
    SG- Harden/Garcia
    SF- Parsons/Casspi
    PF- Scola/Jones or D-Mo
    C- Howard/Asik

Scola would be ideal for a center like Dwight.

and we lost 6 in a row when we had a vice grip on a spot in the playoffs. Did you even look at the post i was responding to?

Well I'll tell you what, with the playoffs in sight the team absolutely shat the bed. We were 32-25 and finished 34-32. We lost SO many games we should've won, and it gave us another prized 14th pick. Dragic was a leader of that team, and he would shoulder some responsiblity for the way the team collapsed.

Stop putting words in my mouth. I never said i didn't want Dragic on the team. But posters like the one quoted want to romanticize Dragic, in order to crap on Lin

As much as i loved Gogi when we had him, he had all the opportunity to be the man in Phoenix and he just averaged 14ppg and 7apg. Who did he defer to? Scola? Gortat? He also shot 31% from 3. I'm good with Lin. Jeremy will put up better numbers playing alongside Dwight Howard.

    I liked a hybrid of a 10yrs younger Calderon/Rubio/Jrue Holiday mix....
    over Dragic

Pretty much. Neither is remarkably better than the other, the main difference is that Gogi is slightly older.
