[Harden] Best player alive = Harden

Are we still calling Parsons a primadonna for saying he was the best SF in the Portland series?

 

That's a completely clueless comment.

 

In my opinion, to get to that next level, he has to show he has the ability to make his team mates better. The really elite players make everyone on the team better. Harden needs to do that.

 

I think there's enough understanding that James is a pretty smart and introspective cat.

For him to say that means he damn well knows he's putting a target on his back, both the media and his colleagues.

Seems like this thread should be merged into a "Harden Makes Confident Statement in Interview" megathread. This is awfully boring.

I remember a time when saying things like that was commonplace and no one really took notice, a time before social media!

If you think the person on the other side is better than you, you're going to play scared, just don't go trash talking them in the press in the playoffs.

 

The all around thing is laughable. And trying to spin it as confidence is also laughable. There is confidence and then there is lying. This makes him a liar in most people's eyes.

Hopefully, that clip is out of context.

 

I just hope he knows the ridicule he will receive if he doesn't bring it on defense this season.

Why are rockets fans so upset that our best player thinks he's the best player in the game?and has a lot of room for growth? This seems like great news for us. What's wrong with you ppl. Smh

 

This crap could backfire quickly. I know Harden's trying to motivate himself but did he ever think about how motivated dudes like Durant, LeBron, etc. will be when they play us? They will be out there trying to prove that they are the best players in the NBA
